You provide great resources and content! New to substack myself, glad to have found you so soon. Hope to attract your attention this year with our parenting posts
How universal, how connecting , how wonderful to know we aren't alone.
Thank you for this beautiful compliation of talent and perspective. I'm honored to have a seat at this table. Off to read each one of these essays this week! My love and respect to every parent here. 🖤
This is really important, Esther, and I'm grateful you commented here. If you're interested in submitting to future issues, DM me your email address. I'd love to add you to the mailing list when I send out the 2026 calendar and submission links to writers.
Erin, this issue is full of so many interesting, entertaining, informative, and moving essays about parenting - thank you for gathering them together! I love that this issue came out during this week leading up to new years because I can take my time reading each essay - it’s a wonderful way to get ready to start a new year⭐️
Thank you for including my essay and for creating these issues - they’ve been so helpful to me as a person, not “just” as a parent, and I appreciate all the work you are doing for us all❤️
Thank you so much, Amanda! I'm so grateful for your continued support, and I've become such a fan of you and your work this year. Every post you publish is both tangible and practical, and I can't wait to see what juicy tips you offer in 2026 to make parenting both easier to manage and more meaningful. 🧡
Thank you so much for featuring my Lady Bird piece, I am really grateful to have made the cut and it truly means a lot to me having been stuck in a little of a rut recently. Lady Bird is one of my favourite films and after watching it in cinema in 2017, I felt a certain way and having rewatched it twice this year (once in cinema), I felt a different way and took a different perspective as a 24-year-old who had matured and grown up from the 17-year-old who watched it for the first time and couldn’t grasp the complexities of the mother-daughter relationship that the film portrays
Thank you, Carrie! I hope you're having a wonderful holiday.
P.S. My youngest is using your CTCL post as a jumping-off point in her transfer search. Thank you for being a wealth of information and a voice of reason for those navigating the overwhelming landscape of finding the best college fit. You're a gem.
Thank you for including my essay in this, Erin. I am so looking forward to reading through these. I appreciate being included in this community, truly! Xoxo
It's my pleasure! I connected deeply with this post, and it's so well written. My best parenting days are the ones where I humble myself enough to acknowledge that I'm learning and growing right alongside my kids. For all our sakes, may we "take a knee" more often. 🧡
Thank you for creating this space for parents 💕 I’ve loved reading all the work across substack. Looking forward to all the amazing reads you help highlight in 2026 too!

So well said, and so happy to have you seated at the head of the table in this issue. 🧡
This is a great collection. As someone who writes about the reality of child loss I would have liked to see representation from a bereaved parent.
